Email Templates

Email Templates control the design and copy of every reminder and notification email Wishlist Lab sends. Each template corresponds to a specific event (e.g. price drop, back in stock). Which events actually send is set in Reminder Settings; who sends them and global branding are in Sender Settings.

Where to find Email Templates

In the app, go to Templates → Email Templates. You’ll see a list of templates (one per reminder event).

Available templates

Wishlist Reminder

Sent after a set number of hours if the customer hasn’t bought the wishlisted product. Customize the subject, main message, product block, and call-to-action (e.g. “View product”, “Shop now”).

Stock In (Restock)

Sent when a wishlisted product comes back in stock. Good for “Back in stock” or “We saved it for you” style emails. Edit subject, body, and product display.

Stock Out

Sent when a wishlisted product goes out of stock. Use it to inform the customer and optionally suggest alternatives or “notify me” messaging.

Stock Low

Sent when inventory falls below the threshold you set in Reminder Settings. Customize the urgency and product block.

Price Drop

Sent when a wishlisted product’s price decreases. You can show old vs new price in the template. Customize subject and body to match your tone.

Confirmation Email

Sent when a visitor subscribes to wishlist notifications (e.g. double opt-in). Customize the confirmation message and any link or button so subscribers know they’re signed up.

What you can customize in each template

  • Subject line – The email subject. Use variables (e.g. product name, customer name) where the editor allows.
  • Header and body text – Main copy and any subheadings. Keep it clear and on-brand.
  • Product block – Image, title, price, and button/link for the product. Layout and styling depend on the template.
  • Colors and branding – Buttons, accents, and sometimes logo. These can inherit from Sender Settings (logo, primary color) if you set them there.
  • Footer – Unsubscribe or preference links if the template supports them.

Variables (e.g. {{ $customer_name }}  , {{ $product_title }}  , {{ $product_price }}  ) are replaced when the email is sent. The editor usually shows a list of available variables or “Learn more”; use those so your content stays dynamic and correct.

How to customize a template

  1. In the app, go to Templates → Email Templates.
  2. Find the template you want (e.g. Wishlist Reminder, Price Drop) and click Customize.
  3. In the editor, change the subject, body text, product block, and any styling options. Use the variables list or in-editor help for placeholders.
  4. Click Save. New emails for that event will use the updated template. Existing scheduled or already-sent emails are not changed.
